Of walking in a watery wonderland...
Apr. 30th, 2005 05:47 pmAnd lo, we did head off at the ungodly hour of 7 am to meet up with the rest of The Fellowship of the Scribes (our Revlon Run/Walk team). And lo, we came, we got mightily soaked, and yet we did walk.
It was actually a very nice walk, despite the chill wet, and we split up into three speed-groups (
paleologa running,
quarkwiz, team Captain Esther Friesner et fils and I in the "fast walkers" group, and others in the 'don't wait for us, we'll catch up later" group) to suit the various needs, catching up at the end.
From there, we peeled off and went to get some Warm Food Somewhere Dry, and then came home to collapse, feeling well done indeed.
Many thanks to all who pledged to the walk (and you rock, all of you!) -- as soon as photos are released into the wild, I'll be able to show you proof positive of our (soggy) devotion to the cause.
For now, though, I need to pour myself something restorative, grab a few matzo, and zzzzz......
But first, a blogthing quiz!
Not really a surprise, although I'd think they'd all be higher percentages...
