lagilman: coffee or die (I feel loved)

Back from a very long day (tasting thirty [30!] wines sounds like fun until you start to think about it...then you're glad there are spit cups) to finally be able to post the news:

There will be more Retrievers books!

Yep, Luna made an offer for three more books (those of you reading l'agent's [all hail her] blog might have noted the 'had two-book proposal turn into a three book offer' comment -- that was me!). So, two more Wren & Sergei adventures to come, after the one I'm writing now, and a sixth book To Be Determined Later.

Am trilled and delighted, natch. Trill, trill, happy (if tired) trilling.

(agent, btw, is goddess dipped in dark chocolate. Really)

Thanks to all of you whose buying habits made this possible... I promise to do my damndest to keep up my side of the bargain.

On the offer--the wine was its own reward. :-)
So glad that Luna decided to offer for more books. The Retrievers is definitely Luna's best.
Three cheers,
Jean Marie

Here's hoping y'all feel that way after #s 2 and 3 already on the way....

The answer to that is that, yes, of course we will! I can't wait to tell Mom; she'll be so excited! She's been reccing Staying Dead to all her urban-fantasy/romance reading friends (so have I, for that matter).

And I know Phil and Judy will be so excited for you! And Judy loved Staying Dead too--she doesn't normally read urban fantasy; she sticks with historical romance instead, and you won her over with a genre she's not normally into.

*sends calming vibes for totally unnecessary panic attack*

That's great news! Wren and Sergei are the only ones who've caught my interest, so far, in the Luna line. Loved the first book, looking forward to the rest. By the way, any news on mass-market paperback release?

I knew you were going to ask about that.

I'm actually working on it, but don't expect to be able to really finish revising it until after finals (May 2). Re-typing it into this computer really showed me what you were talking about: terminal expository disease. I think I can fix it (or at least substantially improve it!) with no problem.

We have a Tornado Warning, complete with funnel clouds. Well, it just downgraded to Severe Weather Warning. I suppose I ought to get offline.....
