I'll be the person who'd love to wave, even possibly say hello, but likely will be dragged off by a nine-year-old at her first (sort-of) anime convention. (Her folks kinda freaked at the idea of the two of us at Otakon, surrounded by 28,000 fanboys, so this was the compromise for First Con Ever.) So if you hear someone going, "but I really want to go meet..." and it's cut off by shrieks of "SAILOR MOON!" -- that would be me, and the hooligan.

*sigh* Gotta remember to pack the sneakers...

Heh. Lunacon was my first convention ever, too, when I was, hrm...ten? Eleven? (counts back the years)... Urk. Ten. Yes. I've been doing this for waaaay too long.

It wouldn't be as much of an issue if I could just get the hooligan pried off the girly stuff. I keep introducing robots, and explosions, and cool science stuff--even ninjas!--and she just turns up her nose. I'm gonna keep working on her, though. ;D

Which ironically is where I'm starting her, on Saturday night, aka 'movies with obasan' at my brother's house. (How did I end up with a Japanese nickname when I studied Mandarin, people? Never question the logic of little girls, I suppose.) Esca's still got enough girly parts--and a really wonderful heroine in the main role--that I hope it'll catch her interest.
