Went into Manhattan to have lunch with Madame Editor, and to hand over the copyedit. After a quick walk-around of the Harlequin offices (damn, but they have pretty views) we went off to UKNY, a surprisingly good traditional Brit restaurant (not saying there isn't some excellent British food, just that, well, it's harder to find than, say, good French, Italian, or Japanese food). My Irish-bred editor also approved of her choices. So that's a checkmark for "must return, this time for drinks/dinner." Pity we met today and not tomorrow, as they're celebrating St Daffyd's day with something called a "Welsh Cocktail." No, our waitress wouldn't tell me what was in it. But I suspect a few of them and you start seeing wee pink griffons...

Anyway, good lunch made better by getting the go-ahead for the outline for the third Retrievers book. So as soon as the revisions are done on the YA project, I'm good to go on that one. needs a new title, tho. We were agreed upon how very bad the working title is.

And then home to snow. No idea how much we're going to get, but it sounds bad out there. March is absolutely coming in like a frost-maned lion. Pandora is in hibernation mode. Boomer wants to cuddle. I think I'm going to curl up with the last of the pistachios, and the reading material of the moment, and see how early I can fall asleep out of sheer winter contentment...
