A rainy recovery sunday

It's been gorgeous the past week or so here in Seattle - warming temperatures and lots of sunlight - and I've been a bit of a social creature, either going out or having people over 5 days out of 7. And while I'm a social creature at heart, I'm also a classic introvert - people exhaust me.  So I knew I was going to need today for recovery.

The weather helped out in that - it's been raining steadily, which is nice.  As I said to someone else this week, if I'd wanted sunglare and dry heat, I'd've gone to Arizona, not Washington.  But I only realized how very much I needed this downtime when I thought about hitting the treadmill for a bit, to ease the restlessness, and realized that I didn't even want to go downstairs to the building's gym because someone else might be there.

Exercise, yes.  Being in the same space as another person, even if I don't have to talk to them?  Right out.

I'll leave the apartment tomorrow.
