lagilman: coffee or die (madness toll)
I've returned to the WiP and can confirm that if it does not love me just yet (after the month hiatus) it is still very fond of me and is willing to work together to make things right again.

Me? I still adore it. Even when it makes me crazy.

I'm sorting through the beta readers, and will be in contact with some of you soon. :-)

-------

In other writing news, it's unlikely that we're going to see purple in my hair any time soon - it's Thursday, and we're only at 66% funded for the Kickstarter for WORK OF HUNTERS and AN INTERRUPTED CRY (we need to hit 75% by..okay, let's say midnight Friday night). Still about $600 away...)

So I guess this is where I should remind people here that the chance to have one of the novellas dedicated to you (or the person of your choice) is still available as a bonus level! As is the chance to have yourself (or the person of your choice) written into an original Cosa Nostradamus short story! (if you know a fan of the world, can you imagine a more unique gift? And if you pledge now, you'll be able to tell them it's coming as your Valentines' Day gift!

If you have the opportunity to see the Donmar Warehouse broadcast presentation of Coriolanus (the one starring Tom Hiddleston, yes) go see it.

Gah, that's a rough play. But oh so brilliantly done.

Although it was amusing - half the audience was the typical live broadcast fans I'm used to from the Met Opera (hush, starving writers can't afford actual tickets to the Met), which means they were Of A Certain Age, and the other half were young Hiddles fangirls (of both genders). They studied each other suspiciously until the play started, and then we were all of a one.

(there were about five of us who were there because SHAKESPEARE from the NATIONAL THEATER and oh yeah, Hiddleston and Gatiss)

The entire cast was exceptional, with a special shout-out to Mark Gatiss, Eliot Levy (who looks a rather disturbing amount like David Coe), and Hadley Fraser. I'm not going to geeble about the actual production here, because I don't want to spoil any particular moment for people. But we can go on about it in comments, if anyone likes...
