where I am when I'm not here, redux

I'm not sure if it's New Toy Syndrome, or if right now, head-deep in finishing a novel and editing two others (plus a short story I need to get fixed up and out) visuals are my preferred means of communicating, but there's a lot more activity over on my Tumblr account than here.

So if you're on Tumblr and have been missing my occasional inane natterings and rantings, or want to see how Cas and Boomer are doing, that's where it is right now.

And yes, I could link but I'd have to hand-code and right now that's one more thing I'm not finding the energy for...

Anyway, I'm here.


(the 'pro' tumblr is here, but I've been thinking about giving in and merging them back together.  Anyone have any opinions on that?)

Feline Updatery

Well, it's official. After two months I am perfectly trained: Cas sits on the cat-perch by the window and lets out a particular squeaky meow,  I turn in my chair so he can leap onto my lap, and then I roll back to the desk and continue working with him contentedly purring on my knee.

And I didn't even realize I was being trained until it was already done.

Also: since I got home from DragonCon, Cas and Boomer have been almost annoyingly adorable and playfully affectionate with each other.  They pounce and tussle, share each others' food bowls (to my great despair, since Boomer's on a diet), and take turns coming to wake me up.  There is still the occasional hissing and swat-down but hey, I'd be worried if there wasn't....


Meanwhile, my foundling kitten has gone from this:

(6 months/6.2 pounds)


To quote a friend: "you have a tiger cub and a panther.  It's not Chataeu Felidae, it's Cirque de Felidae!"
