A Letter to the Att'y General of Texas

Because this isn't about Democrat vs Republican, or liberal vs conservative.  It's about upholding the law, and insisting that our elected representatives behave according to their oaths of office.

To the Honorable Greg Abbot - Attorney General of the State of Texas:

The unlawful conduct of altering an official state record must not be permitted in any measure and especially not by a Texas lawmaker. It is this petitioner's opinion that: available evidence appears to suggest that allegations of impropriety are sustainable.

It is this petitions request that: an official investigation be conducted to determine whether laws were violated during the late evening State Senate session regarding ("SB 5"), on 25-June-2013, and in the early morning hours of 26-June-2013, immediately following the session expiration.

The fact that the outcome of the vote on ("SB 5") has been deemed untimely, does not negate or preclude the opening of an investigation or its eventual findings. It must be our intention to hold all Texans to the same level of lawful conduct as those who create and enforce our laws.

mutter mutter mutter whinge laugh

I hate proofreading.  I especially hate proofreading my own proofs.  I've read this book THREE TIMES in post-production!  And I WROTE IT!

This is the only part of being "an author" that I hate.  But even with proofing, errors creep in.  Can you imagine how horrifying it might be if I skipped this stage?

In other news, and almost despite myself, I’ve nailed my Write-a-thon numbers for the day.  Barely.  I’m going to blame the weather, which is warm and sticky and not to my DelicateNorthernFlower self’s liking.

"Normally I’m a mellow kind of guy,” he said conversationally.  “But you came into my bar, and you were a jerk.  You hit a puppy, man.  Seriously?  I’m not even a dog person and that pisses me off.”
