some days, I annoy myself
Dec. 1st, 2011 09:13 pmToday I wrote approximately 500 word of non-fiction, approximately 2k words of fiction (including time spent realizing I'd gone down a rabbit hole, backing out, and getting things back on track), redlined 15 pages of text on another project.
I also managed to cook two meals and get out for a walk, and have a long conversation with a friend, so it wasn't all about work.
And I realized that I have no idea if that's an actual good day's work, a fabulous day's work, or if - as I feel - I slacked off.
My fucked-up freelancer brain, let me show you it.
[my brain tells me I should be DONE with the redlining already. Never mind that the book's not due until the end of next month. Maybe I just need tighter deadlines? Erk, no.]
