lagilman: coffee or die (nate-and-hardison)
And lo, the Very Rough Draft has gone through red-lining, and come out the other end as a Good Draft.

Still work to be done, but it's work for Later. For now, I Fall Over Go Thud.

And no, I did not get it done before Leverage, although it was close enough that I let myself have the time to watch.

Hee! Fun train!

*has her ticket punched for the fun train*

More coherent comments will...probably not be forthcoming, as tomorrow is OMG busy, too. Feel free to squee in comments, and I'll join you when I can.
lagilman: coffee or die (bye-bye)
So, want something good to read?
Want to help keep a furred and furless family together?
Want to do both?

Author Dave Freer is moving his family from South Africa to Australia, and they'd budgeted the move carefully...but got hammered on the quarantine fees for their fur-kids -- 4 dogs and 4 cats, all rescue critters they can't even think of abandoning [even if they could find homes for them, which is doubtful]. They're looking at a shortfall of almost $20,000.

But Dave doesn't give up. He's set up a storyteller's bowl arrangement for a previously-acquired-but-never-published novel, with the proceeds going directly to convey his four-legged family to their new home. Intrigued? Want to know more? Save the Dragons!

I am off to Hotlanta/Dragon*Con tomorrow at an ungodly-even-for-me hour. No idea what LJ updatery will be like, but you can follow my OMGWTFwheee! on Twitter -- @LAGilman.

I lied: one last post before I go

Thanks to the good folk at Pocket, you can get an early-early look at Flesh and Fire, free for the browsing....

*is pleased*

[hint: changing the setting to "100%" makes for an easier viewing experience, IMO]
