A Seasonal Miracle..
Dec. 20th, 2004 07:40 amAnd all it took was a layer of snow and ice on the ground.
This morning I woke up not to the sound of yowling and growing, but a steady cold scratching. Of someone trying to get ice off their windshield. I wake up a little more, and realize that there's not one but two warm rounded cat-shaped lumps sleeping next to me on the bed.
Yeah. Boomerang and Pandora called a cold-weather truce in order to both take advantage of the down comforter. A truce that seems to have lasted past wake-up.
It won't last. It never does. But they were so cute, curled up next to each other, I just lay there watching them, enjoying the blissful quiet.
And the fact that I don't have to be anywhere today, so I can wait until the temperature rises a bit and melts the ice on my car on its own. :-) 'cause, baby it's cold (and windy!) out there...
