Writing, reading, and TV viewing...
Nov. 16th, 2004 10:01 pmWhen sick, my reading preferences tends to turn to light, fluffy romances, or brief non-fiction. This go-around, I've gone with the latter -- The Middle Ages: A Concise Encyclopedia. Fun stuff, if you're geeky in that direction. Which I am, yeah. It's a fun book, actually. Pick it up if you're looking to refresh your schooling, or learn something new.
Also working on agentorial notes on CURSE THE DARK at the same time I'm prepping a new project that has a very different feel. Or should, anyway. I keep trying to move back and forth between them, and, well, occasionally it gets messy. And later on this week I'm getting the edited GRAIL QUEST 1 to look over. When brain cells collide, tonight on Fox.
And speaking of Fox...bastards have made me watch them again. Hate them for it. But for House, I'll forgive them. Think "ER" meets "CSI," only with Hugh Laurie. Playing a doctor who hates interacting with people, because they frustrate him. He lies, he manipulates, he irritates and he annoys...
(Gee, he's starting to sound a little familiar. Do I know anyone like that? Nah....)
Anyway. Good show. Really good show. Like the team, and what they're starting to do with them. Now to see if they can continue it for an entire season. If only Fox could resist from showing ads for "The Simple Life 3" during the show...
