Personal: Despite waking with horrible sinus ick, I went apple picking this afternoon with The Usual Crowd. This year, unlike previous years, I did not overpick. Which means that I'll run out halfway through my forthcoming baking frenzy. Ah well. That's what we have supermarkets for. And soon there will be the smell of apple pies and applesauce, and...
Yum. Apples and cinnamon and honey and yeast. The lead-in smells of autumn. I just wish I felt better to anticipate it.
Writing: Another way I know I'm sick -- I'm looking at all the various bits and pieces of projects underway, and I can't feel anything for any of them. I don't love them, I don't hate them, I'm not inspired by them...they're just words on the page. This isn't helping my emotional state, either. Nothing worse than a writer with no drive to write. I just keep reminding myself that it will come back. I just need to get healthy again, and it will come back. And I really do need to get healthy again.
For now, all I'm good for is watching Johnny Depp be unbearably pretty, and taking silly quizes, this time from
