That Day of Shopping Days
Dec. 26th, 2004 06:59 amAround the country, people are waking up early to go invade stores at ungodly early hours, jockeying for parking spots and knocking into fellow overly-aggressive shoppers, all for the sake of that perfect thing at the perfect price they didn't get for the holidays.
I leave you to it, people. Me? Not goin' anywhere, today. They may take away my combat shopping awards, but I don't care. Got cats, got caffeine, got work to do. Is enough.
But hey, if you do score a Perfect Kill, feel free to brag about it here. I can praise with the best of (temporarily) retired hunters!

Date: 2004-12-26 09:36 pm (UTC)It may just be Hawaiian Bread french toast, a little bit more conversation, and then back to the airport for me... Maybe I'll hit stores tomorrow. After I wake up... since I've got an enforced week off and there are some movies I need to pick up...

Date: 2004-12-28 01:09 pm (UTC)I don't ordinarily do the after-Christmas shopping, because I'm never flush this time of year. But this year was different, and I bopped down to Michael's for some cloth ribbon to make bows for the stocking hooks we put on our new fireplace mantel. 70% off the Christmas stuff. I nearly cleaned them out of ribbon, and picked up some cookie tins for sending stuff to my nephew and others in the military. La Reine would be proud, I think.
