Around the country, people are waking up early to go invade stores at ungodly early hours, jockeying for parking spots and knocking into fellow overly-aggressive shoppers, all for the sake of that perfect thing at the perfect price they didn't get for the holidays.

I leave you to it, people. Me? Not goin' anywhere, today. They may take away my combat shopping awards, but I don't care. Got cats, got caffeine, got work to do. Is enough.

But hey, if you do score a Perfect Kill, feel free to brag about it here. I can praise with the best of (temporarily) retired hunters!

success!!!!!!!!!

I refuse to invade stores and end up battered and bruised in the process but I staked out the online spots I wanted to hit first things this morning when the clearance pricing started and SCORE! the MOST comfortable fall/winter shoes:
the best shoes!
Land's End Women's Hand-sewn Mocs Cognac, for the extremely happy price of . . . $14.99. 50% off!

Ah, another person who appreciates online shopping. =)
I will be hitting the online stores today for electronics and computer hardware.

I wasn't out looking for anything in particular—mainly, looking at the various Christmas ornaments from Hallmark that're half-off just about everywhere—but the crowds just everywhere were smaller than expected. Heck, they were smaller than the normal weekend crowds at Target and Circuit City....

oh, I adore online shopping and so many of the online stores move merchandise into their sale and outlet sections faster than ever so it's useful right away. You don't end up buying winter coats in June :-)

Congratulations.

I so do not need to buy more shoes, but wow, that's tempting.

So not going shopping... unless [livejournal.com profile] wendybear decides to take N and I to the Hustler store. Though I'm a bit biased towards lovely places like Toys in Babeland. :P

It may just be Hawaiian Bread french toast, a little bit more conversation, and then back to the airport for me... Maybe I'll hit stores tomorrow. After I wake up... since I've got an enforced week off and there are some movies I need to pick up...

This entire week is not a good time to be outside. Ewww. If you think people are rabid before Christmas, yuck, after they are worse. Angry that stores are actually out of the things they wanted to buy on sale. The holidays are a big reason I will never work in retail again.

I don't ordinarily do the after-Christmas shopping, because I'm never flush this time of year. But this year was different, and I bopped down to Michael's for some cloth ribbon to make bows for the stocking hooks we put on our new fireplace mantel. 70% off the Christmas stuff. I nearly cleaned them out of ribbon, and picked up some cookie tins for sending stuff to my nephew and others in the military. La Reine would be proud, I think.
