fannish geeky pleasure
Nov. 19th, 2004 06:08 amWas too tired to say it last night, but CSI just totally rocked, didn't it? Even as I was caught up in the story (handled really well, with none of the obvious jokes they could have made and a lesser show would have) I was admiring the way all the pieces were worked in together, from the fact that they showed more of the women on the team in the 'doing their thing' bit, to the musical choices (and I'm not one to normally make specific note of background tracks), to the sensitivity of the actor playing Mimosa, the victim's best friend.
Even the rather incredible graphic detail of the second crime scene was perfectly done, driving the viewer over whatever lingering distaste one might have had for the victim into nothing but pity.
And -- hee ! -- Gil comes through again with "oysters."
Next week's ep looks to rock, too. Here's hoping...
