So yeah, today was not a good day.

lagilmanIt started out really well. My sister crashed here last night, and we had a nice breakfast at the local diner, and it was ...really good. I like my sister, I like spending time with her.
But then I spent too much time the rest of the morning dealing with a problem that should never have been a problem, but other people made it into one (and now I have to deal with the fallout, hence this morning).
Then, when taking a break, I stretched, reaching my arms over my head and leaning back slightly....and my already-on-notice chair gave notice itself, as the arm cracked, throwing the chair (and me) off-balance. I didn't get dumped on my ass (or my head) but at the cost of wrenching my shoulder and upper back. I have the reflexes of a cat. Sadly, I have the musculature of a human.
Also, my chair, it is an ex-chair. At exactly the time I'm waiting on nearly $8,000 on now-overdue paychecks. Don't go freelance, kids. Nobody gives a shit if you don't get paid except you.
So between the pain and the painkillers, I only got about a quarter of the work done I should have, and I'm in too crappy a mood to deal with the taxation paperwork I should be sorting tonight, and...
