Three Things

1. Recovering from a cold is not the time to blithely go for a 3 mile city-hike, even if you are walking slowly. You ain't that recovered yet.

2. especially since you forgot to eat lunch beforehand.

3. and after all that, you forgot to stop by the bank and deposit that check. Nice going genius.

But I did remember to pick up new catnip toys, so I am a Hero of the Revolution nonetheless.

Offered? Offered? I'd no sooner walked in the door than their heads were IN the bag.

They know when there's new catnip in the house.

(at least I wasn't bringing home new Greenies. That gets the bag damn near torn out of my hand by a lean black kitten who shall remain nameless....)

I once brought home the big monthly shopping, and resupply run, and let me tell you, the bag that the cat food was in was torn open, the cat food bag torn open, the smaller bag the catnip toys were in was missing, and would you believe my cat knew nothing, I mean NOTHING about any of it..
