I harbor hope for Agents of SHIELD on the theory that while Joss has co-creator and EP credits, he can't possibly have time to be the actual showrunner or one of its core writers. (Mind, that leaves the keys to the kingdom mostly in the hands of Jed Whedon and Marissa Tancharoen -- whom I hadn't realized were married* till I started poking around on IMDb -- which may or may not be an improvement, but we shall see.)
*And can you imagine being married and co-writing/showrunning a primetime network TV series? Talk about your 24/7 partnerships....
