lagilmanFictionwise.com has uploaded "Don't You Want to be Beautiful," which was written tongue so firmly in cheek I'm amazed I don't still have a bruise.
They have also uploaded "Harvey & Fifth." I started writing "H&F" after visiting the Oklahoma City memorial. I finished it the summer of 2001. I don't know if it's my most powerful story, but it still gives me shivers when I read it. Even more so when I realize that I was, ahead of the fact, giving myself permission to mourn...
I love both these stories, for completely different reasons. But, trust me, read them in the above order, "Beautiful" and then "H&F."
