randomly, a random post.
Mar. 30th, 2012 10:10 amThe to-do list I set up on Monday was totally swamped by everything that hit on Wednesday. I've spent the past few days scrambling to make order out of chaos, results out of queries, and Zen out of ARRRGH.
That, by the way, is an excellent way to run a plot "plans are made, shit happens, everyone scrambles to get back into place" but not so much with Life.
Meanwhile, Catie Murphy just publicly outed herself as a superhero (or an alien) and now I have no excuse, once all this editorial clean-up clutter is off my desk, to not only write the remaining two books for the year, but also finish OperationOy before November. Thanks, Catie. [/fe]
more randomly:
... today I am on massive deadline. Tomorrow and Sunday, I can take a few hours off. So of course, apparently, it's going to rain ALL WEEKEND. It must be ICon (aka "mudcon") weekend.
...am amused by the fact that, so far, of the 3 people I've invited to do guest posts, 2 have followed the suggested format & 1 totally ignored it. Anyone want to guess the gender breakdown of those three responses?
.... it's very weird on the one hand supporting OWS, and on the other, checking to see what the market (and my investments) are doing. But it's an important balance, I think. I don't hate the system, I don't want to 'tear down' the system... I want it to work the way it was supposed to - for everyone, not just the ones with their fingers already in knuckle-deep.
....I have a ticket for tonight's megamillions drawing. I do not expect to even hit 1 number. I am hoping that the winning numbers will be spread out over several tickets, as nobody should have to deal with that much money landing on them all at once. That's not heaven, it's hellish. (and no, don't say "I'd love to test that." Really, you wouldn't. Settle for ten million and be happy.)
And that's all I got. What's on your random?
