Is anyone else watching "Darklight"? Can anyone who is watching explain it to me? Sweartagod, makes "Witchblade" seem a marvel of logic and rational plotting. Not to mention quality acting.

And while you're at it, explain why I shouldn't be offended by a movie whose sole basis is seemingly the fact that Lilith was evil because she refused to accept the fact that she was subordinate to Adam?

Bah. Also humbug. Not even pretty.

Oh dear. Haven't seen it yet, but am planning on catching the next run of it. Is it that bad? *sigh*

You know I was initially intrigued by the idea of a movie that had Q, the Sentinel, Dr. McKay, and Tara**, but Terri turned it off inside of half an hour, which was all I needed to know. Yeesh.

** The movie starred John deLancie (Q on various Star Treks), Richard Burgi (the title role in The Sentinel), David Hewlitt (McKay on both Stargates), and Shiri Appleby (Tara on two Xena episodes)

Oh, that issue with the demonization of Lilith has been a major pet peeve of mine for about half my life, ever since I first found out about her. From a cultural perspective, considering the people involved in compiling the books of the Bible, the demonization of Lilith isn't really that surprising.

I was watching Darklight, too (mostly because I was interested in the portrayal of Lilith), until it just got ridiculously yawn-inducing in its badness.

Y'know, considering this is one of the things my mom asked me to record for her when she went on vacation, this does not surprise me.

My mom? Thinks Andromeda is better than Firefly because it has more "thingies" in it. Gads.

I'm almost afraid to ask this, but -- er, what's a "thingie" in this particular context?

LOL! Sorry - something with makeup on it. :-> Alien-thingies. That's my mom's #1 criteria for watching something. She still thinks Clash of the Titans was a great movie. I figure if River had had a Bajoran nose, she'd have loved it.

You going to WorldCon in LA? Felicia and I just bought our tickets. Maybe we'll see a bit more of you than we did in San Jose. :->

dont recall Tara... I watched a bit of the Sentinel when it achieved rerun status on scifi.. it was an interesting concept...

so far SG:A is the only thing on scifi holding my interest these days.... SG:1 has gotten kind of boring imo

Oh, it was a horrible movie, no doubt about it. The only mildly entertaining parts were watching Richard Burgi (poor thing, stuck in this movie) and David Hewlett (he's much better on Stargate) and . . . no, that's about it.

I went to college with Yancy Butler. "Witchblade", "Mann & Machine"...she's got quite the career going. But she did a lot of theater in college. She was always the one telling us where the emergency exits were before the show started.

I think I'm glad I missed it, then, despite the fact that there were some fun genre actors who'd been cast. Hmm. Maybe if there's nothing better on and the program running on the Food Network at the time really, really sucks.

Yes, the Food Network is my default channel when there's nothing else on. It's so sad. ;)
