In which the artist takes all the elements of the scene and 'sees' it drastically different than I did...and makes me like it.
(note the vine leaves curling around the bottom corner, as though stroking Jerzy's sleeve. This touch pleases me beyond belief. Enough to make up for the fact that he's shown as blond and pale, not fox-red and tanned. Oh well.)

As to the art, I quite like it. As you say, not quite your guy, but it's lovely to look at as IS. And it has your name across it in big letters. So what's not to love, right?
