suri spreads some political quotage....
Sep. 12th, 2004 10:39 pmfrom the Doonesbury page at Slate:
"Four hundred thousand people make some money trading on eBay."
-- Dick Cheney, on below-the-radar economic indicator
"If we only included bake sales and how much money kids make
at lemonade stands, this economy would really be cooking."
-- John Edwards
Y'know..... well, y'know. When even the die-hard vote-Republican citizens-who-can-still-think-unaided are shaking their heads and going "no, man, oh no..." and buying 'smoosh Bush' dolls, it's time for the GOP to dump their candidate, apologize to the entire country, and spend the next four years sitting in the corner.
Sadly, ain't gonna happen. Too many voting citizens seem to have checked their brains, their self-respect, and their ability to discriminate between Spin and Fact at the voting booth door. And don't think the GOP doesn't know it.

Date: 2004-09-13 05:26 am (UTC)Know it? They're counting on AND courting it! USA Today has a letter to the editor with the latest senseless talking point - how can people talk about the economy when there are terrorists out there! If the terrorists attack again, no one will be thinking about the economy! (Wanna bet? Also wanna spend a second thinking about the possibility of another attack vs the inevitability of dealing with the economy?)

Date: 2004-09-13 07:21 pm (UTC)It's a matter of conscience. He doesn't beleive that Kerry is a good choice for the country. He doesn't beleive that Bush is a asfe choice for the country. Sometimes, the lesser of two evils is still an evil. All you can do is respect someone's choice to mark and stand their line.
