A rant is always in order, and takes precedence over any other business?

I second "Oh Damn!" Your rants are so amusing in a funny sort of way.

It's Monday.

Even with most of the people at work taking vacation, it was still a ranty sort of day.

You can always listen. You don't have to follow the advice if you don't agree with it. (I knew I was a grown up when I did the right thing despite the fact that my mother had told me to.)

I'd have been interested in the rant too. I'm terrified of where the publishing industry seems to be heading, and nobody seems interested in talking about it except for folks who either can't get or keep a publisher and continue to expound on how independent e-publishing will bring a golden age to all us writers.

I remain dubious.

Every time I receive a new royalty statement in which I (nor my agent) can make heads or tails out of the e-book sales, I seem to get more nervous.
