Okay, I have taken the fruit that was reaching near-overripe status and thrown it into the blender, creating a rather thick, healthy puree. Is there a strawberry-kiwi martini in my near future? Hrm. There may well be...

There is also, apparently, cat-grooming. At some point I need to have one of these sessions filmed, if only to share the moments when Boomer catches the brush in his paws and attempts to "comb" his ears and head by himself...

And meanwhile, if anyone ever seriously wondered how large Boomerang was, as opposed to how heavy? He has taken to, when he wants attention, putting his front paws on the arm of my office chair and headbutting me in the arm -- while his hindquarters are still firmly on the ground. For those of you playing along at home, that's a body length of 27" not including neck, head or tail.

In writing news, about 2,0003,000 words for the day, a darling killed [it was obstructing the storytelling flow], and I just a) wrote a fabulous scene and b) set up a -terrible- if subtle pun for later, but I can't share it with anyone... [it's spoilerific] This book is either going to be a fabulous conclusion to the trilogy, or haunt me forever with what I could have done, if I'd had any real talent...

and I really should have lunch before it's dinnertime, shouldn't I? have et lamb shoulder chop w/ garlic and chicory.
