Lovely work-vacation extended by 12 hours, as change in equipment = overbooked plane = very nice travel voucher to those of us who could change our flight plans. As cat-sitter was agreeable, I took it with both paws.

I now have a travel voucher begging me to Go Somewhere New. Maybe to continue my tradition of New Year in New City? Or perhaps to fund a signing tour for WEIGHT OF STONE come October?

The floor is now open to suggestions. All I ask is that it be a Place of Interest. Feel free to nominate your hometown -- You are Of Interest. :-)

yes please, come to Oregon. The Beaverton Powells is the best place for signings.

Unless you are into the Amish, or Gettysburg/US Civil War, I will not ask you to visit South Central PA. If you are...

I vote for a signing tour coinciding with WFC. Those of us in the Midwest would actually have a chance at seeing you. (And no, I'd not be offended if you chose to bypass the 'Nati; I know we're the conservative end of the state.)

I feel I have to put in a vote for a signing in Canada! I know its trickier to arrange, what with crossing borders and all, but I have to mention it. To be specific, somewhere in the Toronto/GTA area (or at least within driving distance from there!) would be fantastic. There are lots of great things to do in the area too.

I'll second Toronto, as I spend more of my free time there than in Albany these days. :-)

Somehow I don't think the wilds of central Connecticut would make the cut. ;-)

Come to Newcastle! Hadrian's Wall... Holy Island... The castles of Northumberland... The best damn used bookstore in Europe... Food and drink and company... Have I said enough yet, or should I go on?

Oregon *is* made of win, and [livejournal.com profile] calendula_witch doesn't even live here yet...

We have volcanoes. And wineries. And beautiful ocean shores.

But they haven't erupted in, um, 30 years... :p Ånd they are so *pretty* when they're not erupting.

If the volcano gods and other powers permit, you could always do another research trip. Take a cruise along on the Rhine and Moselle and sample the wines at each stop...

Our recommendation would be Basel. During Fasnacht.

(Well, we've just done the last ten, so maybe we've no imagination.)
