So, Google handed me back a link to a blogger who said "I would talk about FLESH AND FIRE as part of the Nebula round-up except I didn't bother reading it." No reason given -- I have no idea if they don't like epic fantasy, if the cover put them off, if they didn't like the premise or hate my work overall... they just didn't bother reading it.

And y'know, that's every reader's right -- to read or not read. But if you're going to do a rundown of a slate of nominees (including the ones you didn't like) then a reason why you didn't even bother trying one title would be logical, no? Or am I missing something?



Meanwhile, I have an afternoon appointment with the vamps, and so am on a water-only routine until then. No breakfast. No lunch. No caffeine. Deadlines and to-do list? Oh yeah, I got those.... This is going to be amusing. Or, y'know, not.

EtA: a meerkat sans food or caffeine for a 12+ hour fasting period? Is a meerkat who apparently cannot focus enough to write. I think it's time for laundry/bill-paying/random office-keeping stuff

Some days, especially when you have a busy travel schedule, it's simply not possible.

(IOW, yes, I do know that, and had it been possible I would have. Do not say the obvious to the caffeine-deprived, it only makes their claws flex...)
