So, back a few days ago, Catie Murphy and her husband Ted met me in the pub to go off for dinner, prior to opening ceremonies for PCon. Apparently, Catie had sworn everyone to secrecy about a surprise she had, expecting me to React Accordingly.

Alas, Irish Mischief met New Englander reserve, as I looked down, thought "well, that's new, she's being rather quiet about the obvious" and proceeded to wait until an Announcement was Made before I made a fuss, as is only proper.

Poor Catie was crestfallen. So we did a retake, later.




(alas, it looks, as I said later, as though I were saying "OMG look what the Boob Fairy brought!" But yes, our Catie's going to have a kitling!)

Actually, I'm facing the camera so much in both of those they really *do* mostly look like Look What The Boob Fairy Brought, don't they? The bizarre thing is I haven't actually gotten any chestier, it's just the light and apparently the shape of the bra I'm wearing... o.O

Still, those are very funny. *giggles* I like my expression in the first one. :)

She was DISMAYINGLY blas&eeacute; about it! And then upon being told you'd been forbidden to tell her was like "What? You think I can't keep a secret?!" I said no, no, no, it was just she was my only American friend I knew I'd see and so could surprise, but NOOOOOO, she had to go and be all New England about it and say nothing! :)
