Once again, a Wednesday Like Saturday...
Feb. 3rd, 2010 04:17 pmfrom the BookView Cafe blog on the topic of Amazon, Macmillan, and the Art of Ebooks, my most recent comment:
"Of course, in a perfect world $25 would get you a nice paper edition and the digital text that you could read on any hardware that was registered to you (so you could transfer it within the household, but not to anyone you weren’t willing to loan your hardware to). I’d like to live in that world…"
Can I get an amen?
--------------------------------
Meanwhile, I managed to get every damn thing on both today and tomorrow's to-do list done... except any significant writing. Well, maybe tonight... oh no, wait, it's Wednesday. Criminal Minds and Leverage. Nevermind...
Actually, I suspect I'll get writing done tonight or first thing tomorrow. Today my brain's mostly been in the "don't bother me, I'm working through shit" mode, which I recognize 'cause even after a good workout at the gym I've still been getting up and dancing even when there wasn't any music on, and went for not one but two walks into town. Physical activity = brain set on Process.
Still, today's one of those "unaccomplished-feeling" days, so I gave you:

Date: 2010-02-03 10:17 pm (UTC)That's my big complaint about eBooks, really: I've got all of these paper books that will essentially require me to buy a copy again for me to use the eBook. Unlike a VHS tape or cassette -or even an LP- the paper book is fine.
