Today, off to Clayton, for the signing this afternoon @ Clayton Books. Tomorrow, Russian River Valley!
Meanwhile:
A scene I didn't know was going to be in book 2 until it jumped in during revisions will, I think, play a very important part in book 3. Writing is always an adventure. And the line of the morning came fromdebg: "It's hard to be depressed with bubbles in your mouth." (lower case b, yes, you filthy-minded people)
and snippet of a phone conversation with my mom:
Me: Yeah, California's still beautiful.
Mom: Planning on moving out there?
Me: oh HELL no. Not my state at all.
Mom: Good.
I laughed. Apparently, moving overseas would have been okay, but not Left Coastward....
