so much for the afternoon....

Now both cats are throwing up and vocally unhappy (but active). At least that rules out any serious sneak-medical condition (probably) and increases likelihood of a stomach bug of some sort (or it's stress-related).

Y'know, when I passed on having kidlets, I thought I'd escaped days like this....

[EtA: Pandora is sleeping. Boomer is demanding I pet/distract him. Yeah, very much like having feverish kidlets]

Oh no! Hope the cats feel better soon!

By the way, is "kidlet" a very common term? I've been encountering it left, right, and centre lately, in very different contexts and separated by a few hundred miles from the others.

My SIL was using it to refer to her children thirty-some years ago, so it's been around a while...

It could probably be worse ... Kitty diarrhea ... That was always lots of "fun". And then there was the urinating outside the litter box which went on for like months until we found the medical cause. Good luck.

That does sound like an infection. Poor things -- I hope they feel better soon.

Poor kitties and poor you. Haven't any idea what to recommend because I never had this hit any of my cats, so I'll just send hugs, skritches, and many good wishes to you and the sick ones.

Sorry to hear about the sick cats. (And the stress that comes along with it.)

It's funny that you mention kitten yacking; Blueberry kept vomiting (probably around 5 times or so) a few days ago, turned out that she had eaten a piece of string and a 2" bow with a twist tie attached to it. This inventory was found under the dining room table, so it has been confirmed.

Maybe they ate something off the floor? Hope they get better either way.

Well you were off at the con ...
I once took care of a wolfhound for the week its people were off skiing. He was violently ill the first night - on the center of the white carpet.
The night his people returned - a repeat performance.

Ouch! Hope everybody is doing better soon, without the need for a vet visit.
