Happiness is...
Happiness is making it to Friday and not killing even the people who needed killin'.
Happiness is having a rockin' wine store...that delivers for free. From Manhattan. Seriously. And no, I didn't spend that much money! (the per-bottle came to about $16. Er, excluding That One Bottle).
Happiness is starting out the day feeling very meh on the work front...and then coming to the end of the day and discovering that, in addition to getting a list o' things crossed off, you've also put down almost 2000 new words.
Happiness is waking up and knowing you've got a fun day, sprinkled with occasional work, and social stuff for the evening spread out ahead of you.
Happiness is having a 20-pound puma-wannabe climb into your lap and start purring, while the 8 pound Duchess sprawls across your desk, carefully not blocking the monitor like a good little girl

Yeah, we used to do OTB night - it was an excellent way to remind us not to "save for some other time" when we could be enjoying it now. I've kind of internalized that philosophy, since then... too many "other times" never come, and I refuse to be left with "why didn't I?" regrets.

Oh! Plus I admired the mass market editions of "Bring It On" and "Curse the Dark" on the New Arrivals rack at Uncle Hugo's earlier today. I already have the trades, so...
