The rest of 2008:
Finish up the BLOOD FROM STONE author proofs
post various blog entries
co-write and edit "How We Do it" for BVC
-----------------
2009
To Write:
PACK OF LIES
MUSTANG
THE VINEART WAR #2
[estimated grand total wordcount: 275,000 words]
To move through production:
HARD MAGIC
DAUGHTER OF THE SEA
THE VINEART WAR: FLESH & FIRE
DRAGON VIRUS
To prep for submission:
THE SANDERSEN WOMEN
To finish:
“A Heart of Wisdom”
“Snarky Water”
“A World of Unfortunate Place Names”
“Cold Iron Cross”
To figure out what to do with:
THE DIAMOND proposal (horror)
INSIGHT partial (YA)
DREAM CAMP proposal/partials (YA)
Oh, and find a home for "Flash & Twitter" [not its real title]
Right now, that looks like a nicely reasonable workload -- just enough to keep me focused, a little frantic, and out of unwanted trouble. We'll see how long the plan survives reality.... (anyone want to take bets?)

Well, it probably won't go wrong before Jan 5, when the publishing industry behemoth wakens from its Christmas slumber...

Yeah, being Creative on Demand's sometimes no picnic, and there re days you wander around the office thinking "ok, this is gonna be the time it all falls apart." And then you remember that you're a professional, damn it, and you make whatever arrangements need to be made (including, sometimes, a sit-down with your agent and editor to revise schedules) and you do what has to be done.
Yes, I do believe in writers' block. It's your brain's way of telling you that you've done something wrong, and need to fix it before you can write on. Once you do.. no more block!
