lagilman: coffee or die (love is magic)

good lord

To all of the people who've friended me (or, as the saying today, 'stalked' me), welcome! I shall try to be worthy of space on your f-list.

Feel free to chime in here and say hello, btw. Nine out of 10 anthropologists say that lurking is bad for you. And hurts their chance of finding material for papers later on in their career.

Heya. Michael Jones, writer, book reviewer, etc etc etc. :) I know we've met a few times at cons. Just thought I'd drop in and hang around for a while. :>

Heya! Deb Atwood here... found your LJ through [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia's listing. I'm slowly adding more and more of the writing community to my friends list. Okay, VERY slowly. *smiles*

Um, I've been around before, but it's me, Sherri. I've been hanging out here since World Fantasy, I think.

Hey Laura - Leah here. Just got my own LJ (ooh! Shiny!) though I've lurked for quite a while. Hope all is well with you -

And the tenth anthropologist got invited to dinner by a cannibal tribe?

But the lurkers support me in email!

The really amusing thing is watching people use "friend" as a verb....

I suspect there are nuances to the "friending" etiquette that will sort themselves out as we settle in, too.

At least that makes a certain vague sense, if you're familiar with LJ. As opposed to using "heart" as a verb, which is just wierd. Smilies and their ilk should not become parts of speech.

I'd been stumbling upon your posts in other folks' journals for a while now, and only just now got around to adding you (instead of wandering over from other journals and reading in a more chaotic and occasional sort of way). :-)

Guilty! :) I follow your online musings in ngs elsewhere and found the link to here on your webpage.

[better late than never]

Hi....I'm [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia's sidekick Michael, and I was reading you via her friends list for a while before I decided it was easier to just read your posts directly.

Heyyo
