"The romance between Wren and Sergei is powerful and beautiful even when they work at cross-purposes from each other and keep secrets from their partners.  Fans of Charlaine Harris, Kelly Armstrong and Kim Harrison will find Bring it On a very special treat.  The author is an expert worldbuilder and creates characters that are easy to care about." ***** (five stars) -- Affair du Couer

The fact that I'm getting rave reviews from romance-genre magazines is really... scary. Nice, but scary.

Now to see if the glow from this will carry me through a weekend of revisions of Burning Bridges...

Actually, the romance mags are smart that way - they understand that their readers usually read well outside the romance genre. Romantic Times does a lot of SF/F reviews for books that have absolutely no romantic content. It's a nice way to gain a wider audience for your books!

When I was the PR director at Del Rey, I was always surprised when people like Richard K. Morgan and China Mieville got reviewed in romance mags.

Luna - another smart move by Harlequin!

Anyway, keep up the good work. :-)

***** (five stars)

Wow, awesome! Congrats! (I'm assuming five stars is the highest? Sometimes it seems like romance mags go up to, like, twenty stars. Hee.)
