amusing and pleasing...
Back at the place of occasional employment yesterday, after a fortnight away. Much "you're back!" from co-workers, and one customer who came in and berated me for leaving him in the lurch over New Year's. "I had to get my advice from (co-worker)! (Co-worker) likes California wines!"
Well, so do I, but not exclusively. We had a nice soothing discussion about the new Spanish wines that have come in, and he went away with a bottle of Pinotage to try, and peace was restored.
Another co-worker opined that I was wasted on the floor -- I should be store management. Me to him, hurt: "I thought you liked me!"
Today, I am back into hermit-writer mode, enhanced by the howling winds rattling windows and blowing snow about outside. Felines are much pleased and purring. I am being productive. Life could be much worse.
