If you plan to be at BEA next month....

I'd love to meet up with folk, maybe pool our resources in finding things/people, or just to grab a drink and gossip, er, network.

My pass is only for Friday (at the moment), but I will be in the city all weekend from Thursday night to Sunday evening....

e-mail me at dymk(at)lycos(dot)com or post here to organize...

Shit. I wanted to be there, and was planning to be there, and now I have a husband with no job, no income, and I aint goin' anywhere.

Pisses me off.

I've got BEA on the brain today from trying to set up all these "just for a second" meetings.

But I am around and free during BEA - when not roaming the halls so if there's a plan, count me in. I'll likely need a drink if I run into the editor who said this to me today: "indexes? oh well - you know, there's not a lot of time for that kind of thing anymore."*

* yes - I swear it. And from an employee at a major educational publisher.

I might be around for a get-together. What are actual dates of BEA?

I'll be there and running around like the proverbial chicken sans head. Three conferences that week, but BEA is definitely on tap for Friday. I'm getting into the city on Wednesday at some point.

I've requested to go, but have not received confirmation from the office.

I could go on the weekend, on my own dime, I suppose, but it is better if I get to do it on the library time and dollar.

I managed to rate a press pass for the entire weekend (exhibit hall, no programs). So I imagine I'll be walking the whole bloody thing, grabbing what needs to be grabbed. But I'll definitely be needing a break at some point, so a meet-up of some flavor sounds good.
