I must be really secure, as I neither know nor care what mine is called, as long as it works. Although it is a "candy bar" style--but that's probably due to the fact that I distrust those fragile-looking flippy phones, and I'm too cheap to shell out for them.

The Katana is by the same outfit that made my unfasionable yet rugged and functional SCP-4700 waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in early 2002. I don't even have a color screen! It's a one-piece because I know I'll break a flip phone.

I go lots of places where I can't take a phone with a camera. The SCP-4700 fits the bill nicely.

My young colleague just got a Katana for her personal use and then realized that she'll need a no-camera phone for work purposes, so she got a little one-piece Nokia on the Free Phone With Lots O Minutes plan with a completely different carrier, but work pays for that one.

Given that Motorola hasn't made a Razr for Sprint, the Sanyo Katana is as close as it gets with that carrier, I guess. I like the phone -- but it's not for me.
